Kate Gosselin Recovering with the Help of Boyfriend
Kate Gosselin is currently on the mend after undergoing knee surgery, and she’s getting support from her boyfriend, Steve Nield.
The star of ‘John & Kate Plus 8’ recently posted a series of photos on social media, giving a glimpse into her daily life during recovery. She referred to it as “a day in the life of me right now,” and shared updates about her healing process.
In one of the photos, she mentioned her boyfriend while showing off her breakfast, which was simply cereal and coffee. “Breakfast made with special love…you know who made it,” she wrote with a laughing emoji, apparently hinting at Nield. The breakfast included protein and dietary fiber cereal topped with banana.
At 50 years old, Gosselin was hospitalized last week due to a tibial plateau fracture. The injury occurred when her dog accidentally knocked into her while they were at the park with Nield.
She announced that she was discharged from the hospital on October 2 after having “plate and pin surgery” on her leg.
Gosselin shared with her followers that she’s been in a new relationship for a little over a year—possibly 14 or 15 months, she said. She recently revealed more about this new relationship but didn’t disclose her boyfriend’s name, mentioning that he isn’t keen on being featured online.
However, a source later informed Page Six that Gosselin is dating her former bodyguard, Nield, and they are living together. “They have wedding plans. It’s very serious,” the source commented, adding that Kate is truly invested in this relationship and they are indeed discussing the future.
The couple had reportedly been rumored to be dating for years. Nield first began working with Gosselin in 2008, and both were married at the time, leading to speculation of an affair, which Gosselin denied. Nield is now divorced and has been seen with Gosselin multiple times throughout the years while caring for her eight children.
