Turning Point USA Announces Alternative Halftime Show for Super Bowl
Turning Point USA, a conservative political nonprofit co-founded by the late Charlie Kirk, has revealed plans for an alternative halftime show during the upcoming Super Bowl next year.
The “All American Halftime Show” will take place instead of the regular performance by the popular Bad Bunny, scheduled for February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Bad Bunny, a Puerto Rican artist who has gained immense fame since his 2016 debut, has faced mixed reactions from some NFL fans.
In light of this, Turning Point USA is in the process of gathering various musical performers, though specific names and details will be revealed later.
“We’re genuinely excited to share the All-American Halftime Show,” the organization mentioned in a statement on X. “More information about performers and the event will be released soon.”
On a related note, Bad Bunny, officially named Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, recently voiced his worries over U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He disclosed that he avoided scheduling tour dates in the U.S. due to concerns over fans potentially being detained by ICE agents.
“The issue was that ICE could show up, for example, at my concert. It was something we discussed and worried about,” he noted in a recent interview.
He even shared a video on social media showing what he described as a local ICE raid occurring in Puerto Rico.
“Look, those moms are in RAV-4 cars. They’re here in Pontezuela,” he expressed in Spanish, referring to ICE operating on Pontezuela Street in Carolina, east of San Juan.
He also remarked, “Those sons of bitches don’t leave people alone and work there.”
Before the announcement about the Super Bowl halftime show, Bad Bunny mentioned on his X page that he was only planning to do “one date” in the U.S. It was later confirmed that he would indeed be performing.
