Parents of angel children urge Trump to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

Dozens of families who have lost loved ones to fentanyl and angel parents are urging President Donald Trump to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. They emphasize his significant actions against drug cartels, human trafficking, and illegal immigration.

In a letter sent to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, representatives from American Border Stories, which includes parents whose children were killed by illegal immigrants, expressed their belief that Trump’s leadership has fostered “peace and security” in communities nationwide.

Anne Fandner, whose son died from an overdose last year, shared her feelings with Fox News Digital: “Fentanyl took my child’s life, and thousands more as well. President Trump actively pursued cartels and human traffickers harming our kids. He made this issue a priority and it genuinely saved lives. He deserves this recognition.”

Families contend that Trump characterized cartels and human traffickers as “war machines that destroy lives.” They praise his focus on border security and efforts to block drugs and violent criminals from entering the country in ways that no other leader has managed.

While other global leaders may strive for peace abroad, the families believe Trump’s commitment has been about achieving peace “here at home.” Joe Abraham, whose daughter Katie was killed in a hit-and-run by an illegal immigrant, noted that Trump is the only leader treating the border situation as a national crisis.

Abraham explained, “My daughter shouldn’t have been a victim of someone in this country illegally. Trump’s efforts against cartels and to safeguard our borders provide protection for families like mine. It’s not merely about leadership; it’s about restoring peace in American society.”

The supporters argue that the Nobel Peace Prize, which recognizes those “who work for fraternity among nations,” is relevant to Trump’s attempts at dismantling cartel operations.

The letter states, “The Nobel Peace Prize was established to honor efforts to diminish the forces of war and promote peace. The most pressing conflicts today are not occurring on foreign battlefields but in our neighborhoods, fueled by cartels thriving on human suffering. Trump recognizes this and has labored tirelessly to bring them down.”

The letter coincided with Congressman Buddy Carter (R-Ga.) announcing he would nominate Trump for the Peace Prize following a groundbreaking agreement aimed at ending the Israel-Hamas conflict. Activist Lizzie Savetsky even suggested renaming the Nobel Prize in Trump’s honor to acknowledge his impactful contributions.

This year’s nomination deadline was January 31st. Some nominations for Trump were submitted earlier, while others came in after the cut-off. Those not selected for this year’s award may still be eligible for consideration next year.

The White House has not yet reacted to inquiries regarding this matter.
