Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the first teaser of Invincible Season 4 during New York Comic Con. It appears the Viltrumite Empire has received a significant enhancement. This beloved animated series is set to make its return in March 2026, with Lee Pace joining the voice cast as Slag, one of the most formidable villains from the comics.
The excitement around Invincible is palpable, especially after Season 3 premiered in February 2025, which was met with great enthusiasm and received an early renewal for Season 5 at San Diego Comic-Con in July. There’s also news that Matthew Rhys will lend his voice to a character whose details remain under wraps for now.
Viewers experienced a nearly three-year wait between the first two seasons, compounded by a not-so-popular break in Season 2. However, Season 3 is often viewed as a triumphant return. Fans loved the intense superhero action and the deeply emotional storyline.
In this latest season, fans followed Mark Grayson, a.k.a. Invincible, voiced by Steven Yeun. He barely made it through the Invincible War—an event marked by the villain Angstrom Levi (voiced by Sterling K. Brown) rallying a multitude of Invincibles to threaten Earth. While Mark ended up saving the planet, it came at a cost—Rex Splode (Jason Mantzoukas) met his end while other heroes suffered serious injuries. Unsurprisingly, Levi managed to escape to another dimension to fight on.
Just when Earth seems to be on the mend, new dangers appear. Conquest, a vicious Viltrumite voiced by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, creates one of the most gripping battles in the series to date, leaving Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs) seriously hurt. In a twist, Eve’s powers surge just as Conquest is poised to strike the final blow, allowing her to regenerate and mount a counterattack.
With Cecil Stedman (Walton Goggins) managing to seal Conquest away, the series takes on a darker tone. Mark suggests considering a more lethal approach to confront their foes. With the Sequid Army being assembled, Battle Beast still at large, and Damian Darkblood summoning ominous creatures, it seems he might need that mentality going forward.
While the teaser doesn’t reveal much, the anticipation is building with Lee Pace’s addition as Slag and the hint of another epic galactic showdown. Invincible Season 4 is definitely looking worth the wait.
