House Speaker Hails Trump’s Achievements at News Conference

At a press conference on Monday, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) praised President Donald Trump for accomplishing significant feats that others have only discussed or attempted unsuccessfully. He referred to Trump’s recent victory speech delivered to Congress, stating that it paved the way for a summit with world leaders in Egypt.

Johnson described this moment as a “historic dawn” for a new Middle East and noted the reinstatement of Columbus Day as a marker of a new global era. He mentioned Christopher Columbus’s arrival in the Americas, highlighting how this led to the establishment of Western civilization on July 4, 1776.

Referring to a peace agreement, he stated that, for the first time in 738 days, there were no living Israeli hostages held by Hamas. He commended the president for successfully securing the release of all 20 Israeli hostages in just eight months, emphasizing the potential for lasting peace in a historically conflict-ridden area.

Johnson continued by celebrating the hopeful atmosphere, suggesting that the entire free world is experiencing joy thanks to Trump’s leadership. “Today is a day of deep hope,” he remarked, indicating that the world was abuzz with news of this accomplishment.

“President Trump has achieved what others only imagine or have tried—and failed—to do,” he said. “His actions are a testament to America’s capability to foster peace for those who cherish freedom.”

The speaker underscored that the strength and support from America are crucial in deterring terrorist actions and tyranny. “Everyone, both here and abroad, is celebrating this incredibly uplifting news,” he added.

Earlier, President Trump had asserted, “This signifies not just the end of war, but the conclusion of an age filled with fear and death, ushering in a new era of faith and hope.”
