Bears’ DJ Moore Taken to Hospital After Game

Wide receiver DJ Moore of the Bears left Commanders Stadium in Landover, Maryland, via ambulance on Monday night, following his team’s narrow victory of 25-24. He was transported to a nearby hospital as a precaution.

Specific details about Moore’s condition were not shared, but the team stated that the 28-year-old was getting “preventive treatment.”

“We were having a laugh in the locker room right after the game,” Moore mentioned before heading into the ambulance.

In the match, the veteran player recorded three receptions for 42 yards, which steered the Bears closer to Jake Moody’s successful 38-yard field goal that clinched the game.

Quarterback Caleb Williams initially put the Bears ahead with a 1-yard touchdown early in the second quarter, giving them a quick 13-0 lead.

Washington responded late in the third quarter with a 33-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jayden Daniels to wide receiver Luke McCaffrey, briefly taking a 17-16 lead.

Moments later, Daniels connected with tight end Zach Ertz for another touchdown, extending the Commanders’ advantage to eight points. However, the Bears quickly countered with a 55-yard touchdown pass from Williams to running back D’Andre Swift.

This set the stage for Moody, who made four out of five field goals during his first game with the Bears after being released by the 49ers earlier in the season.

Interestingly, he did have a 48-yard attempt blocked at the start of the fourth quarter, which kept the Commanders ahead by just one point at that moment.

This season, Moore has tallied 19 receptions for 215 yards and one touchdown across five games, while Williams has been leaning on second-year receiver Roman Odunze for support.

Moore, now in his third year with the Bears, was brought in from Carolina, a move that also included the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 draft traded for Bryce Young.

The Bears, who have won three consecutive games, are set to play against the Saints this coming Sunday. It’s exciting, but one can’t help but wonder about Moore’s condition moving forward.
