Josh Allen’s Milestones on and off the Field
The football scene has certainly treated Josh Allen well. Drafted seventh overall in 2018, the Buffalo Bills quarterback has turned his performance into significant achievements, including an AFC Championship Game appearance, an MVP title, and a hefty contract worth $330 million.
Despite still waiting for that elusive Super Bowl ring, he recently celebrated a different, yet equally meaningful milestone: his marriage to singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld. They tied the knot in California this past May after being engaged for about eight months.
It appears this new chapter in his life has already offered some insights. During a recent interview with ESPN, Allen reflected on what Steinfeld has shared with him. He mentioned, “Maybe I’m more than just a football player,” which hints at a shift in perspective.
In his own words, Allen has always dreamed of being where he is now, expressing a desire to play for as long as he can. He acknowledges, however, that there’s life beyond football. So far, he hasn’t missed a start since taking on the starter role in 2018 and has consistently secured double-digit wins each season. This year, his completion rate stands at an impressive 68.5%, his second-best, with an overall quarterback rating of 81.3, topping last year’s leading figure of 74.8.
With the Bills on a bye for the week, it seems likely that Allen and Steinfeld are spending some quality time together before getting back to the grind of practice next week.
