Fox News Digital Leads Audience Engagement in Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, Fox News Digital achieved remarkable success, becoming the top news brand with 94.1 million unique visitors across desktop and mobile devices. This milestone marks the first time Fox News Digital has reached this level, indicating a significant shift in audience engagement.

During this quarter, Fox News recorded an impressive 11.4 billion multiplatform minutes and 5.6 billion views, reinforcing its leading position in the news industry. Remarkably, this was the 18th quarter in a row that Fox News maintained the top rank in multiplatform minutes and the 13th straight quarter for multiplatform views.

In terms of YouTube engagement, Fox News significantly outperformed its competitors with 1.1 billion video views, surpassing the collective views of NBC, ABC, and CBS. Interestingly, while Fox News thrived, CNN noted a 44% drop in multiplatform viewership and a 54% decline in multiplatform minutes compared to the same quarter the previous year, whereas Fox News experienced growth in both metrics.

Weekend Lineup and Social Media Engagement

Fox News has introduced a revamped weekend lineup, promising to enhance its coverage further. In addition, the network was the most engaged brand on social media in the third quarter, generating 506 million interactions across platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok. This was a record-breaking quarter for Fox News concerning both social engagement and video views.

Ending September strongly, Fox News finished as the number one news site for multiplatform monthly minutes, totaling 3.9 billion, which marked a 22% increase year-over-year. In comparison, the New York Times trailed with 1.2 billion minutes, a decrease of 24% from the previous year, while CNN lagged behind with 1.1 billion minutes, down 44%.

For multiplatform views, Fox News again took the lead, reaching 1.9 billion views, an 11% increase from last year. The New York Times placed second but experienced a 7% decrease, while CNN saw a stark decline of 34% in views.

Recognition of Achievements

In what has become a familiar trend, Fox News has topped various categories for an astounding 55 consecutive months. In total unique visitors, Fox News ranked second to CBS News, amassing 168 million—a gap that has narrowed significantly since February 2024.

While various news organizations, like the New York Times and CNN, continue to compete, Fox News Digital’s strategies regarding viewer engagement have clearly resonated with audiences, allowing it to maintain a substantial lead in overall participation and accessibility.
