Clarification on Mic Moment Involving Eric Trump and Indonesian President
On Thursday, Eric Trump aimed to shed light on a moment that occurred during a conversation between his father, President Trump, and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto that was caught on a hot mic.
This past Monday, viewers heard Subianto speaking to Trump in Egypt, where the U.S. President asked if he could arrange a meeting with Eric.
Trump responded, saying, “I’ll have Eric call me. Should we? He’s such a good boy.”
During an appearance on “Bowling!” on Real America’s Voice with Eric Bolling, Eric Trump mentioned that the Trump Organization is working on two projects in Indonesia—one in Bali, a well-known tourist spot, and another in Lido, which is near Jakarta.
He noted that he hasn’t met Subianto personally.
“I’m not into Indonesian politics, but I couldn’t help laughing when I heard that,” Eric Trump stated. “Can I meet Eric? He probably knows about our projects. We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved in Indonesia; it’s been over ten years. I’m sure he’s heard of our success.”
The Trump Organization’s website outlines plans for resorts in Lido and Bali.
The golf course in Lido, designed by the famed Ernie Els, opened in March. However, the specific opening dates for the Lido resort and Trump International Resort & Golf Club Bali remain uncertain.
The Trump Organization has indicated that the Bali property will feature a brand new, world-class six-star resort and beach club, alongside a collection of luxury villas, mansions, and resort condominiums.
Eric Trump appeared on the show to promote his new book, “Under Siege: My Family’s Fight to Save Our Nation.” In a previous discussion with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation, he described the book as addressing “defamatory lies” directed at his family.
“They put our family down, they put my father in it, they put me under siege,” he said. “They’ve bombarded this country with nonsense for votes, and that’s just not right. People need to know.”
Eric Trump holds the position of executive vice president at the Trump Organization.
President Trump and Subianto met in Egypt as part of the U.S. President’s visit to the Middle East, which focused on overseeing a peace agreement between Israel and Hamas after years of conflict in Gaza.
