Soros Foundation Supports Protests Against Trump

Billionaire George Soros has reportedly provided funds through a foundation to support the No Kings protests aimed at President Donald Trump.

Various groups, particularly those opposing the president and his policies, are organizing protests nationwide this Saturday, and some of this activity is backed by Soros.

His Open Society Action Fund has granted $3 million to an organization called Indivisible, according to Fox News.

The Open Society Foundations state that the grant will aid the group’s social welfare efforts.

Indivisible is responsible for managing participant data and communication related to the No Kings demonstrations.

As reported, the Open Society Foundations have allocated over $7.61 million in grants to entities involved in organizing the protests.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the Open Society Foundations explained, “We support a wide range of independent organizations that enhance citizen engagement through peaceful democratic participation, which is a core aspect of a vibrant society and a constitutionally protected right. Our grantees independently decide their course of action, as long as they comply with legal and grant agreement obligations.”

In a segment with Sean Hannity, Republican Senator Ted Cruz from Texas cautioned about Soros’s involvement in funding protests.

Cruz stated, “There’s ample evidence indicating that George Soros and his network are financing these rallies, which could potentially lead to riots across the country.”

Cruz further claimed, “This organized march, financed by Soros’s operatives, is a direct fact. No one refutes this.” He added that both the Trump administration and the Republican Congress are dedicated to counteracting this left-wing movement.

Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer from New York mentioned his intention to participate in protests against Trump’s policies.

Meanwhile, Trump has declared in regard to his goals for a potential second term that he aims to eliminate groups contributing to violent protests from the left.

In August, Trump asserted, “We will not permit these extremists to divide America any longer. America will not get the chance to ‘breathe’ and feel free.” He emphasized that Soros and his allies have severely harmed the country, including his unpredictable associates on the West Coast.

A spokesperson for the Open Society Foundations had previously denied any involvement in funding violence.

They stated, “The Open Society Foundations is against all forms of violence, including violent protests.”
