No Kings Protest in Washington, D.C.
Leftist Democrats participated in the “No Kings” protest in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, sporting inflatable outfits to express their discontent with President Donald Trump. This time, they gathered on the National Mall in vibrant costumes, unlike the initial protests, which saw them stay away from the capital.
Amid the crowd, one woman called out, “If you want to be an inflatable dinosaur, we need you. Who wants to be an inflatable dinosaur?” It seems like a fun way to engage people, right?
Images showed a colorful array of protesters dressed as dinosaurs, bald eagles, frogs, peacocks, lobsters, and more. Quite the spectacle!
A video that surfaced online featured a man wearing a dress emblazoned with the “No Kings” symbol, alongside a drawing of Tylenol on his chest, topped off with animal ears reminiscent of the furry subculture.
Nearby, a woman held a sign reading, “I’m a paid Antifa terrorist posing as my grandma.” That’s a bold statement, to say the least.
Live footage from Breitbart News depicted a person dressed as a “Trump baby,” holding a sign that proclaimed, “Fascism is now wearing diapers.” Others waved a banner stating, “Love to you all, we are stronger together.” It’s interesting how protests often combine humor with serious messages.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) remarked in a press conference that the protesters represented what he called “Hate America rallies.” He mentioned the presence of Marxists, socialists, Antifa supporters, and anarchists, labeling them as parts of the “modern Democratic Party.” He expressed concern about their supposed animosity toward America, capitalism, and the principles the nation stands for.
That sentiment seems to resonate with many. I guess it reflects the deep divisions and differing perspectives people have today.
