Phil Mickelson Critiques Biden and Joins “No Kings” Protests

Golf star Phil Mickelson shared a “No Kings” themed post on social media Saturday, taking a jab at the movement and implicitly criticizing President Joe Biden’s administration. He referenced Biden’s remarks about using an autopen for a pardon and previous policies against illegal immigrants.

Mickelson expressed, “On this special day, as we all come together to fight against blanket amnesty, executive orders, illegal acts, and theft of civil resources for illegal non-citizens, we believe it worked!! Well done everyone, because that is no longer happening,” on X.

Known for his support of former President Donald Trump, Mickelson often shares his views that align with conservative values.

On the same day, millions gathered across the United States for “No Kings” protests, challenging Trump’s agenda and Republican priorities.

By around 10:30 a.m. ET, crowds were forming in major locations like Times Square in New York City, the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta. By noon, significant gatherings had also been reported in places like Carrollton, Texas, Charlotte, North Carolina, Arlington, Virginia, and even at the American Embassy in London.

In Virginia, the Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin activated the National Guard in anticipation of potential disturbances.

Republicans argue that this second major “No Kings” protest is merely a diversion from ongoing discussions about the government shutdown. House Speaker Mike Johnson from Louisiana mentioned that he hoped Democrats would be more receptive to Republican proposals after the protests, though he seemed somewhat skeptical about that happening.
