John Stamos Defends Lori Loughlin Amid Separation
John Stamos has come to the defense of his “Full House” co-star Lori Loughlin, highlighting that she “put up with a lot over the years” during her marriage to Mossimo Giannulli, from whom she is currently “separated.” This separation follows 27 years of marriage, confirmed recently by a representative who indicated that “legal proceedings are not underway.”
On a recent episode of the podcast “Good Guys,” Stamos suggested that Giannulli played a significant role in implicating Loughlin in the college admissions scandal back in 2019.
The couple faced scrutiny after pleading guilty to charges related to bribing officials to secure their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California. Stamos expressed his long-standing friendship with Loughlin, stating, “I’ve known her for 40 years. After a few years, you learn to see through people. This woman is a saint. My heart hurts for her right now.”
Stamos mentioned that he tried to support Loughlin during the scandal and called Giannulli a “terrible narcissist.” He clearly stated, “I know she didn’t have anything to do with it,” asserting that Giannulli “dragged her into that incident.”
Reflecting on Loughlin’s prison time—where she served nearly three months—Stamos noted her positive attitude even in those circumstances. He recalled asking her about her experience in jail, to which she responded, “You know, I met a lot of lovely women there. We have a book club.”
He lamented her current struggles, saying, “She didn’t deserve to be dragged through that… I know for a fact it was all him.” Stamos expressed sadness over her separation from Giannulli, considering her a good person and a devoted mother.
When the issue of alleged infidelity came up, Stamos indicated that whatever Giannulli did “broke her to the core.” Despite the turmoil surrounding Loughlin, she has recently appeared on “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” poking fun at her past legal issues in a storyline that satirizes the entertainment industry’s absurdities.
In an earlier interview, Loughlin touched on resilience, saying, “Every day we encounter obstacles, but to me, that song says, ‘When you get knocked down, you get back up.'” Life can be tough, but she emphasized the importance of patience and perseverance.
