Elizabeth Olsen stands out as a unique figure in Hollywood.
At 36, she manages to strike a balance between honesty and privacy. She’s bold yet subdued, exuding elegance while shying away from lavish clothing or high-end brands.
Unless that brand happens to be The Row.
Olsen candidly shares, “I don’t know how to perform for myself in public, and I don’t want to,” during her feature as the cover personality for InStyle Magazine’s Winter 2025 digital edition.
Wearing outfits from The Row, she acknowledges how much her sisters influence her style choices.
In a statement while dressed in an Altuzarra coat, she notes, “I spend money, but I don’t spend it on clothes.”
“I want people to watch the movie and see me as a character,” she emphasizes.
Writer Jason Sheeler highlights that her wardrobe mostly consists of vintage pieces—think Cartier watches, Levi’s jeans, and gifts from her sisters, all from The Row.
If your sisters happen to be behind a stylish brand like The Row, it’s understandable if you’d bend those vintage rules a bit.
Olsen also mentions the former Celine designer Phoebe Philo as worth the investment. During the chat, she reveals wearing the same shoes to the interview that her character donned in a recent pilot episode. “They wouldn’t provide me with shoes, so I just bought them. They’re really comfortable,” she shares.
At red carpet events, she, like many stars, often gravitates toward sophisticated and classic looks, irrespective of the designer brand, including a sequined gown by British designer Emilia Wickstead.
She has also been spotted with her older sisters, twins Ashley and Mary-Kate, showing a close family bond through the years.
Olsen does have her indulgences, though. “I enjoy buying food and household items—linens, small tables…” she admits.
And what about skincare? She’s more than willing to spend there, and it shows in her radiant complexion. “I invest in skin products and lasers. I don’t opt for anything strange on my face,” she elaborates, stressing her priority on skin elasticity.
Having begun her career in indie films and now secured a spot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she’s also wrapped up a new romantic comedy.
Her varied projects and distinct sense of style reveal an authenticity and timelessness—hallmarks that resonate both on-screen and in her real life.
