Science rules: Bill Nye and Buttigieg support Spanberger in key Virginia cities as scandal engages Democratic ticket
Former PBS personality Bill Nye, widely known as “The Science Guy,” is teaming up with former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg to rally for Abigail Spanberger, a Democratic candidate for governor in Virginia. The event is set for Tuesday in Charlottesville, a city rooted in American history, and home to the university established by Thomas Jefferson.
Spanberger’s campaign is trying to distance itself from the controversy surrounding attorney general candidate Jay Jones. During the rally, Buttigieg will join Spanberger and Nye, among others, in an event hosted at the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics.
