Sen. Kennedy Critiques Biden Administration’s Foreign Policy
WASHINGTON — Senator John Kennedy, known for his sharp one-liners, shared a stark evaluation of the Biden administration’s stance on global adversaries during a recent episode of “Pod Force One.” Released on Wednesday, he addressed concerns about America’s role in international conflicts.
“I don’t want America to be the world’s policeman, but we’re dealing with tough characters like [Chinese President] Xi Jinping and [Russian President] Vladimir Putin, or the Ayatollah of Iran,” Kennedy remarked to columnist Miranda Devine.
“They are certainly tough,” he continued. “Engaging with them feels like trying to hand-feed a shark. But they do respond to strength.”
Kennedy, a Republican from Louisiana, criticized Biden’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan, suggesting that during critical moments, rather than demonstrating assertiveness, he might reference philosophy instead.
The senator characterized Xi as the “quarterback” behind an alliance between Beijing, Moscow, and Tehran, noting plans for meetings that former President Trump might have had.
“Their aim is for Russia to rule over Central and Eastern Europe, Iran to assert dominance in the Middle East, and China to control the Indo-Pacific, while regions like sub-Saharan Africa and South America remain free,” Kennedy explained.
He emphasized that this scenario creates an unsafe environment for Americans. An outspoken supporter of Ukraine and Israel, Kennedy noted that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had “done the right thing” following a deadly Hamas attack that resulted in significant casualties.
“Israel has successfully countered Hamas and Hezbollah,” he stated. “They’re pushing back against Iran, and while President Biden is somewhat passive, Israel is determined to defend itself vigorously.”
Contrastingly, Kennedy asserted that Biden appears to be “growing weaker” not just politically, but also physically, while suggesting that America’s foes are more cautious when it comes to Trump. He compared Trump to legendary pitcher Nolan Ryan.
“Opponents thought he was wild; they couldn’t predict whether he’d throw a strike or aim for their heads, and that unpredictability gave him an advantage,” Kennedy remarked.

Kennedy argued, “That’s part of Trump’s character—he’s not predictable. His support for Israel and pushing Iran to dismantle its nuclear capabilities resulted in a safer world because adversaries feared the consequences.”
“If Biden had acted similarly, we might have seen peace emerge sooner, but it seems unlikely now,” he concluded.
