Hunter Biden’s Anger Towards Obama Over Fundraiser Incident
Hunter Biden expressed his anger towards former President Barack Obama for guiding President Joe Biden backstage during a June 2024 fundraiser, as detailed in a new book by Jonathan Karl of ABC News.
According to excerpts shared with Axios, Hunter felt that Obama’s actions were disrespectful and embarrassing for his father. He mentioned, “I almost jumped on stage and said, ‘Please never do that to the president of the United States again,’” during an interview with Karl.
He elaborated that his father was simply trying to thank the audience. “I knew it was going to become a meme,” Hunter recounted, admitting he was “really, really, really, really angry” about the incident.
The incident is one of several that raised concerns among the public regarding President Biden’s age, a sentiment supported by various polls at the time.
This moment was not an isolated one. In the concluding months of Biden’s presidency, similar footage surfaced showing family and aides frequently intervening to assist him off stages and during events.
Just days prior to the Obama incident, Biden was redirected by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at a G7 event in Italy after he appeared to wander away from the other world leaders. Meloni gently guided him back into the group.
The White House later dismissed a related video, claiming it was “artificially narrow,” which made it look like Biden was stepping away from the crowd.
