Encountering Keanu Reeves proved to be quite the spectacle recently.
After a Broadway performance, a woman claiming to be his “divine wife” approached him. This happened right after he starred in “Waiting for Godot.” According to reports from attendees, she shouted for people to “let go” as she tried to connect with Reeves.
While he was leaving the Hudson Theater, she insisted, “That’s your holy wife!” attempting to keep others from getting close to his vehicle.
As his SUV pulled away, she dashed to the side door and grabbed the handle, pleading, “Don’t let them hurt me,” before being forcibly removed and falling to the ground.
Even as the car drove off, she chased after it, continuing to call out Reeves’ name.
So far, representatives for the actor haven’t commented on the incident.
Reeves, known for his role in “The Matrix,” went public about his relationship with Alexandra Grant in 2019, after meeting her in 2009. They mostly keep things private but have shared affectionate moments during public appearances.
Recently, Grant provided some insight into their relationship, expressing admiration for Reeves. “He’s very creative, very kind. He works very hard,” she said in an interview.
She also took to social media last month to refute any rumors of them getting married, telling her followers that while good news is popular, it can sometimes be misleading. “Be careful!” she warned.
