Arizona Youth Group Leader Arrested for Producing Child Pornography and Child Sexual Abuse

ICE Arrests Arizona Church Youth Group Leader for Child Exploitation Charges

Earlier this month, special agents from ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested a youth group leader from Arizona. He faces charges related to attempted production of child pornography and possession of materials depicting child sexual abuse. ICE officials indicated that the individual had been leading youth groups associated with various religious organizations in the Phoenix area.

On October 16, HSI agents apprehended Casey Gosselin, 46, a U.S. citizen residing in Phoenix. The operation involved collaboration with Tucson police, aiming to investigate a man suspected of livestreaming instances of child sexual abuse.

Reports suggest that Gosselin was allegedly using online platforms to create child sexual abuse materials and had connections with child sex traffickers in the Philippines. During a federal search warrant execution, multiple electronic devices were seized by the agents.

As the investigation unfolded, it became clear that Gosselin had ties to various youth organizations. Authorities are therefore seeking information regarding other potential victims. Gosselin is said to have livestreamed abuse involving children under specific online usernames.

In an official statement, authorities urged:

If your child, or a child you know, has had contact with Casey Gosselin, please reach out to us at the ICE Tip Line at 866-DHS-2-ICE or report through ICE’s online tip form or your local law enforcement.

ICE HSI agents work closely with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, as well as partners involved in combating internet crimes against children, along with various federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to carry out these critical investigations aimed at protecting children.
