Press Secretary Levitt Responds to Jean-Pierre’s Criticism
White House press secretary Caroline Levitt recently shot back at her predecessor, Karine Jean-Pierre, after Jean-Pierre labeled Levitt’s comments as “deplorable.” During an interview on “Jesse Watters Prime Time,” Levitt said, “In honor of her predecessor, she is one of the masterminds of the greatest cover-up and scandal in American history.”
Levitt criticized Jean-Pierre for lying to the press about President Biden’s performance, stating that she continues to mislead audiences on her book tour. Jean-Pierre’s new book, titled “Independent,” discusses her departure from the Democratic Party and her time in the Biden administration.
Earlier this month, on ABC’s “The View,” Jean-Pierre reacted strongly to a clip where Levitt asserted that the Democratic Party’s core constituency comprised “Hamas terrorists, illegal aliens, and violent criminals.” Jean-Pierre described Levitt’s statement as “deplorable,” emphasizing, “This is President Trump’s White House. They’re not serving just one man but the American people.”
Levitt did not hold back in her response, saying, “Unfortunately, we know that Karine worked for the most incompetent president in history, so I think she has reason to be bitter, but bitterness alone doesn’t sell books.” She criticized Jean-Pierre’s claims about Biden, suggesting that the administration has been “gaslighting” the public.
In another appearance on the podcast “The Bulwark,” Jean-Pierre pushed back against assertions that Biden addressed the nation “several times a week,” arguing that he was not as media-averse as Trump.
