Trump-supporting podcaster starts 'Hot Girls for Cuomo' to criticize Zohran Mamdani's voters

Supporters Rally for Cuomo

A pro-Trump influencer has kicked off the “Hot Girls for Cuomo” campaign, aimed at bolstering the former New York governor’s bid for mayor. The founder, Emily Austin, claims that rival candidate Zoran Mamdani lacks any real backing.

At just 24, Austin, a rising media figure, has thrown together this informal initiative, pitching it against the “Hot Girls for Zoran” movement. Her call to action encourages attractive women in New York City to lend their support to independent Andrew Cuomo.

“What makes us appealing is that attraction goes beyond just looks—it’s also about intellect,” Austin explained. “Honestly, if you’re voting for Mamdani, your intelligence must be in question. If you once rated as a 10, supporting him drops you to zero, but showing up for Cuomo makes you a 20.”

A Long Island local working in Manhattan, Austin wanted to make political engagement fun, not tedious.

“At 24, I’m media-savvy, and ‘Hot Girls for Mamdani’ seemed like the best twist on things,” Austin said, discussing the Democratic front-runner against Cuomo.

Before the Democratic primary, “Hot Girls for Zoran” had already taken off, even selling campaign merchandise featuring the slogan. Austin expressed her confidence in the support she claims to have from fellow attractive women for Cuomo.

Despite not coordinating with Cuomo’s official campaign, Austin noted that her movement quickly gained traction. This was especially notable as detractors resurfaced the sexual misconduct claims against Cuomo that led to his 2021 resignation.

While Cuomo has denied these allegations, critics swiftly bought the domain “hotgirlsforcuomo.com,” leading to links to the state Attorney General’s report detailing the misconduct. Austin recounted, “I was caught off guard by this domain purchase, but honestly, it was an impressive tact on their part.”

Austin’s strategy echoes Cuomo’s early pandemic popularity, drawing parallels to the so-called Cuomosexuals who found his media briefings appealing.

While she just learned the term “Cuomosexual,” Austin offers a sense of camaraderie with those who continue to back Cuomo amid controversy.

A Trump supporter, she recently expressed on her podcast that, despite Cuomo’s Democratic background, he’s the best option to avoid a Mamdani-led New York City.

She encouraged Republican Curtis Sliwa to step aside, as polls indicate Cuomo has a strong chance against Mamdani in a head-to-head matchup.

In a recent show segment, Austin posed questions blending race and personal interests to Cuomo, hoping to show a more relatable side of the politician.

“He really is quite charming once you sit down with him,” she noted during the discussion.

In spite of the backlash from women who have come forward about harassment claims, Austin remains steadfast in her support for Cuomo, believing the allegations are unfounded.

Responding to critics, she said, “If I believed the accusations were true, I wouldn’t support him. So, I’ll keep this stance. Let me know your thoughts.”

Austin also addressed her “Hot Girls for Zoran” supporters, which includes prominent model Emily Ratajkowski, who publicly supported Mamdani. She remarked, “Emily, you’ve made a fortune, and if you wish to embrace communism, go for it—but Mamdani’s path is more aligned with that than with what I advocate.”

Mamdani rebuffs claims of being a communist, identifying with the Democratic Socialists of America, asserting support for reforms that empower workers and limit corporate control within capitalism.

The buzz around “Hot Girls for Cuomo” could spark further initiatives as the 2028 presidential election nears. Austin hinted, “I’m planning ‘Hot Girls for Vance,’ targeting Vice President J.D. Vance for a future run. We’re just getting started.”
