University of Arizona looks into mistreatment of Turning Point USA students

There was a troubling incident at the University of Arizona this week involving supporters of Charlie Kirk. A group from Turning Point USA faced threats, and the confrontation was caught on camera.

A student, identified by pink hair, confronted the Turning Point USA group, saying, “Hey, Nazis, could you please take a position where we can more easily avoid them?” One of the Turning Point students responded politely, “Yes, thank you. Have a great day.” But the confrontational student shot back, “No, you Nazi, watch your neck,” referencing the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

In response to this incident, a University of Arizona representative stated that they are looking into the matter, asserting, “The University of Arizona does not tolerate harassment or intimidation.” The Department of Public Safety and the Dean of Students have reached out to the affected students and are actively investigating.

Since Kirk’s tragic death, there has been a noticeable spike in online rhetoric mocking or celebrating the event. Unfortunately, such hostile comments have led to job losses for various individuals, particularly within academic circles.

During recent No Kings protests in Chicago, a video captured an elementary school teacher mocking Kirk’s death by gesturing as if shooting a gun at their neck while saying “ban, bang.” TPUSA’s Andrew Corbett expressed outrage, highlighting, “The most despicable responses to Charlie’s murder were almost entirely public school teachers and professors.” He added that this situation reflects the challenges facing America’s youth and emphasizes the vital role of organizations like TPUSA.
