Trump and Cabinet Officials to Discuss 'Significant Achievements' of Homeland Security Task Forces

Roundtable Discussion on Homeland Security Task Force

On Thursday, President Trump is expected to convene a group of key Cabinet members for a discussion about the U.S. Homeland Security Select Committee’s impressive efforts to tackle cartels and human trafficking.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson took to social media to share a related article from Fox News.

“President Donald Trump will lead a roundtable to highlight the remarkable achievements of the Homeland Security Task Force, a pioneering initiative aimed at confronting cartels and criminal networks,” she posted.

As reported by Fox News, notable attendees include Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. The White House has confirmed that the event will occur at 3 p.m. ET in the State Dining Room.

Recently, Trump signed an Executive Order mandating the establishment of federal Homeland Security Task Forces across all 50 states. The objective is clear:

Each HSTF aims to eliminate criminal cartels, foreign gangs, and transnational criminal organizations in the U.S., dismantle networks involved in human smuggling and trafficking—especially those targeting children—and utilize all law enforcement resources to uphold U.S. immigration laws.

Jackson referred to the task force’s work as a significant achievement in a statement to Fox News.

“The President’s Homeland Security Task Force is a landmark success that demonstrates what federal leadership can achieve when it prioritizes efficiency and collaboration for public safety,” she commented.

“In a brief time, the Trump administration has made strides by removing harmful drugs, illegal firearms, and cartel members from society,” she continued.

“Americans are, without a doubt, safer now thanks to the HSTF, yet this is just the beginning.”
