Man in Trump Inflatable Costume Reportedly Assaulted at No Kings Rally

Protest in Massachusetts Turns Violent Over Inflatable Trump Costume

A man in an inflatable Trump costume was reportedly attacked during the recent No Kings protests in Swampscott, Massachusetts. Jonathan Silveira, who carried an American flag, donned the costume to express his support for President Trump. He mentioned to a local news outlet that he just wanted to make the president’s presence felt.

“I wanted to show that he has some supporters out there,” Silveira said, adding, “I love Donald Trump. Go Trump.”

In a disturbing turn of events, a bystander identified as Michael Karl allegedly ran up to Silveira and kicked him before continuing the assault. According to the police report, Karl hooked his leg around Silveira’s, causing him to fall forward.

The report further reveals that Karl wrapped his arms around Silveira’s neck and jumped up, escalating the confrontation.

Silveira shared a video capturing the altercation, filmed by his girlfriend, on his Facebook, citing, “My costume was ruined by a liberal lunatic.” He commented that while the camera was rolling during the incident, moments prior to police involvement were not recorded.

“The costume was really tight. I couldn’t move. He kicked me and pushed me down,” Silveira recalled, calling into question the events that followed. He denied claims that he struck Karl with a pole, stating, “By the time I took off the costume, he was already with the police.”

As reported, Karl has pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He was released on personal recognizance and has a pretrial hearing scheduled for December.

The No Kings protests took place as a response to the president’s policies, with certain figures labeling them as the “Hate America Rally.” House Speaker Mike Johnson remarked that the protesting groups included Marxists, socialists, and other far-left factions. He criticized their sentiments toward America and capitalism, emphasizing the strong principles they seem to reject.

Johnson pointed out the irony of the protests, suggesting that if Trump were in a position of ultimate power, the government wouldn’t face shutdowns, and national parks wouldn’t be closed for rallies.
