Trump-Backed Challenger Ed Gallrein: Massie 'Lacks Statesmanship'

Gullane Challenges Massie’s Political Standing

During an appearance on his show, former farmer and Navy SEAL Ed Gullane, who is running against Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), stated that Massie isn’t really a politician. Instead, he referred to him as a “career politician,” not a “Kentucky politician,” even after receiving an endorsement from President Trump.

Gullane expressed that for substantial progress, leaders need to offer high-level solutions alongside integrity and credibility, suggesting that Massie fails to provide this. He argued that Massie’s votes hinder progress and work against the agenda intended to push the country forward.

He emphasized Trump’s limited time to roll out policies, saying, “The clock is ticking.” Gullane referenced how quickly Trump is acting, pointing out recent developments like the Gaza peace deal, and indicated that now is a critical moment for the nation.

According to Gullane, if the opportunity to restore the country is overlooked, history will not be kind. He reflected on his military background and described Trump as “very outgoing and polite,” although he kept the details of their discussions private.

He noted that prior to his meeting with Trump, he felt like just a “candidate for nothing more than Grandfather of the Month.” Still, he believes Trump understands the importance of the nation’s future, which inspires him.

Gullane warned that if voters continue to support “the kind of obstacles that career politician Massie posed” following the Biden administration, history would not forgive them. He conveyed that the president faces significant challenges and although it’s okay to propose alternatives, solutions should not create barriers.

He called into question the choice voters face: whether they prefer a true native Kentuckian and veteran like himself or a career politician who prioritizes personal interests. “It’s a really simple question,” he concluded.
