Freeman Family Celebrates Dodgers’ World Series Tie
Chelsea Freeman was excited on Saturday night as her husband Freddie Freeman’s Dodgers leveled the World Series at 1-1.
“Yay!!!” she shared on her Instagram Story after LA’s 5-1 win against Toronto. She also posted a video featuring pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto celebrating his impressive performance against the Blue Jays at Rogers Center.
The Dodgers’ star, who is earning $325 million, delivered a remarkable outing, completing his second consecutive game with eight strikeouts over nine innings.
Yamamoto expressed his thoughts, saying, “My pitching style is to keep attacking the zone. Honestly, I didn’t think I would pitch a complete game because the number of pitches added up quickly. However, I’m really happy that I managed to do it.”
His strong start also helped Freeman. The first baseman stumbled over an infield pop-up but managed to recover, hitting a double and driving in a run that night.
The Dodgers are in pursuit of their second consecutive championship after besting the Yankees in five games last October.
At 36, Freeman has the steadfast support of his wife Chelsea, whom he married 11 years ago. Chelsea, who previously worked in real estate, has been cheering him on during the postseason, including when the Dodgers swept the Brewers in the NL Championship Series to reach the World Series.
Chelsea shared a family photo on October 18, showcasing their kids—Charlie, 9, Brandon, 4, and Max, 4—at Dodger Stadium, with the caption, “The World Series is decided!”
Last year brought challenges for the Freeman family when Max was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a condition where the immune system attacks the nerves, potentially leading to weakness or paralysis. Max spent over a week in intensive care before returning home.
In early 2025, Chelsea updated on Max’s condition, saying he was “doing really well” and that he would continue with physical therapy until July. “He’s on track for a year of recovery from Guillain-Barre and is in really great shape,” she noted.
Game 3 of the World Series will move to the West Coast on Monday night.
