A chaotic brawl unfolded outside a Bronx nightclub early Sunday morning, leading to the tragic death of a 35-year-old woman. She was reportedly slashed with a broken bottle while attempting to shield her boyfriend from an aggressive mob.
The incident took place just after 4 a.m. outside the Mama Dora Club on East Kingsbridge Road. According to law enforcement and witnesses, a confrontation erupted between two groups when the bar was quiet.
Locals identified one of the fighters as the woman’s husband, who was knocked to the ground. In an effort to protect him, she rushed inside but ended up getting stabbed during the melee, which was captured on surveillance footage.
After the altercation, evidence of the violence remained, including what appeared to be a woman’s hair on the sidewalk along with shards of glass.
“They were all fighting outside,” recounted a witness who chose to remain anonymous. “My husband and I came out, and then the other guys followed.”
“That’s when the two groups clashed,” the witness continued. “She stepped in to keep her distance from her husband, and then she got stabbed.”
Another observer noted that the attacker used a shattered bottle to deliver the fatal blow before fleeing the scene. As of Sunday afternoon, police had not made any arrests, and broken glass still cluttered the area.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been revealed, sustained “multiple stab wounds” to her chest. She was initially taken to BronxCare Health Systems in a private vehicle, later transported to Lincoln Hospital, where she was declared dead.
Footage from nearby surveillance cameras captured the entire scene of chaos.
The video shows a man in a yellow jacket behaving erratically before lunging and stabbing the woman, then being hurried away by others in the crowd.
Witnesses expressed their shock over the brutal attack. One person commented, “There’s almost nothing left in the world. There’s really nothing else to say. They need to find God.”
