Christina Haack on Co-Parenting with Ex-Husbands

Christina Haack has managed to maintain friendships with both of her ex-husbands, Tarek El Moussa and Ant Anstead, despite the complexities of her personal life. At 42, she shared her thoughts on co-parenting while navigating a recent divorce from her third husband.

“It really takes everyone in a co-parenting situation to want to make it work,” she said. Many people reach out to her, questioning how she does it. “They say things like, ‘How did you manage that? My husband’s ex hates me,’ or ‘I can’t stand my ex,'” she reflected.

Haack has learned to co-parent her children, Taylor and Brayden, with El Moussa, now adding her new boyfriend, Chris Larroca, into the mix. “There are four of us involved: me, Chris, Tarek, and Heather. We genuinely want to get along,” she explained. “Working together is key.”

Both Haack and El Moussa share a knack for letting go of the past. “We can resolve things in no time and then move on,” she noted. They were married from 2009 to 2018, and she attributes their smooth interactions to a sense of maturity. “We focus on our kids first, making communication much easier,” she added.

Following her divorce from Josh Hall, which was finalized in August 2024, Haack believes their split has positively impacted her relationship with Anstead. They were married between 2018 and 2021 and share a son, Hudson.

“When Josh and I parted ways, I quickly connected with Ant. He expressed a desire to co-parent Hudson similarly to how Tarek and I do,” she recounted. Since then, they’ve focused on creating a supportive environment for their son.

Haack emphasized their togetherness at various events: “We attend soccer games, sit together at school activities, and celebrate birthdays as a team. It would be really sad if Hudson didn’t experience those moments with us.”

Ultimately, this cooperative approach has strengthened the family’s bond. “My kids enjoy knowing that we can all come together for the holidays and celebrations,” she said. “It’s not weird—it’s great for everyone involved.”
