Understanding George Soros’ Ideology
George Soros—his name often evokes thoughts of “globalism.” Yet, the roots of his beliefs remain somewhat obscure. What truly drives his ideology? It’s a fair question. While many might leap to labels like “communist” or “Marxist,” the reality is a bit more complex.
Liz Wheeler, host of “The Liz Wheeler Show,” recently tackled this perplexity. She noted that while people often connect Soros with “open borders,” this oversimplifies his beliefs. A straightforward categorization would be good for clarity, but Soros doesn’t fit neatly into just one box. His views on globalism and open borders might be better understood as tools rather than ultimate goals.
Wheeler delved into Soros’ history, recalling a rather revealing 1998 interview on “60 Minutes.” During the interview, when asked about his religious beliefs, Soros responded bluntly with, “No.” The interviewer probed further, asking if he believes in God, and again Soros simply replied, “No.” This straightforwardness perhaps hints at his perspective; he suggested that God is a human construction, which might explain why he believes he can fix the world’s flaws.
Wheeler pointed out that Soros’ disdain for America and its core values—rooted in faith and sovereignty—stems from a broader enmity towards the foundational principles, like God and Christianity, that shaped the nation. She suggested that a common thread among those who share Soros’ views is a fundamental aversion to God. It’s an ideology that seeks to dismantle established realities, as these were seen as divinely ordained.
In her discussion, Wheeler maintained that this attitude fuels a deep-seated hostility towards America, a nation founded with Christian values aimed at honoring God. The desire to strip away what defines human dignity, she argued, is rooted in a rejection of the image of God instilled in humanity.
