Vance to Speak at Ole Miss Event Honoring Charlie Kirk
Vice President J.D. Vance is slated to answer questions this Wednesday at Turning Point USA’s event in memory of his late friend, Charlie Kirk, which will take place at the University of Mississippi.
Vance will be accompanied by Erica Kirk, president of Turning Point USA and widow of Charlie Kirk. She is expected to introduce Vance before facilitating discussions with students, reminiscent of her husband’s approach.
Attendance is free, but those who want to participate must pre-register, with students getting priority. So, when the doors swing open at 3:00 p.m. (Central Time), there will also be a screening process similar to TSA procedures. The main event is set to kick off at 5:00 PM (Central Time).
Turning Point USA’s First Tour Since Kirk’s Death
The event draws particular attention as it follows the tragic assassination of Kirk. Fox News will broadcast the gathering live from Ole Miss on “Jesse Watters Primetime.” Additionally, the entire event will be available for livestream on Fox Nation, and a limited docuseries featuring behind-the-scenes footage will debut on November 7th.
Vance previously confirmed his participation during an appearance on “The Charlie Kirk Show” earlier this month. He expressed, “Keeping Charlie’s memory alive is also keeping the mission alive.” There’s a sense of urgency in his words—that while no one can take Charlie’s place, continuing his work is crucial.
Vance shared fond memories of Kirk, saying, “Being associated with Charlie was a huge part of his legacy.” He emphasized that Kirk didn’t just engage people in conversation; he truly connected with them.
It’s notable that Erica Kirk will make this her only stop on the tour. She’s also scheduled to give her first sit-down interview following her husband’s death with Jesse Watters, airing on November 5th.
