Prince Harry and Meghan Attend World Series Game

During Game 4 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were spotted sitting in front of the legendary Sandy Koufax, a towering figure in baseball history. However, New York Mets broadcaster Howie Rose was not amused by their placement, implying that Koufax, at least in his view, shouldn’t be overshadowed.

Rose remarked on social media, questioning how Koufax ended up in a secondary seating position, suggesting perhaps those were his designated seats. He added, “Sandy Koufax doesn’t take a backseat to anyone, especially not at Dodger Stadium.” The Duke and Duchess were also seen ahead of NBA great and Dodgers co-owner, Magic Johnson.

Koufax, who is now 89, holds a remarkable place in MLB lore. Born in Brooklyn, he spent his entire profession with the Dodgers, achieving incredible accolades throughout his career.

On a related note, the Toronto Blue Jays clinched the World Series title after a dominant Game 5 performance.

Koufax had begun his career at just 19 years old and transitioned with the franchise to Los Angeles during his early years. He received the National League MVP award in 1963, followed by three Cy Young Awards, four World Series titles, and two World Series MVP honors.

Due to ongoing elbow issues, Koufax retired at the young age of 30, still managing to become the youngest player inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame at 36. His career statistics reveal a staggering total of 2,324.1 innings pitched, amassing 165 wins against 87 losses, with an impressive 2.87 ERA and 137 complete games.

The Dodgers faced a tough loss against the Blue Jays, trailing 3-2 in the best-of-seven series and now looking ahead to Game 6 at Toronto’s Rogers Center on Friday at 8 PM ET. They are counting on pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who performed exceptionally well in Game 2, to help save their season, while the Blue Jays will start pitcher Kevin Guzman.
