The morning show definitely took a spooky turn.
On Friday’s episode of “Today,” Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Willie Geist, Carson Daly, and the rest of the crew showcased their Halloween outfits.
Last year, they embraced a “VHS Rewind” theme, drawing inspiration from classic characters of the ’90s and 2000s, featuring icons like “Austin Powers,” “Legally Blonde,” and “Beetlejuice.”
As they move into 2025, the hosts have once again come through with fantastic costumes.

Craig Melvin
Craig Melvin channeled the spirit of Prince, even performing “Purple Rain” in a costume reminiscent of the late artist, complete with a guitar in tow.
Willie Geist
Willie Geist embodied Wayne Newton, popularly dubbed “Mr. Las Vegas.” The legendary performer has been entertaining in Las Vegas since 1958.
In a playful touch, he held a showgirl adorned with wings while being introduced as Newton.
Geist really got into character, singing along with the live performers.
Jenna Bush Hager
Jenna Bush Hager stepped out as fashion mogul Anna Wintour, sporting her signature blonde bob and dark glasses.
Savannah Guthrie
Guthrie dressed as Miranda Priestly from “The Devil Wears Prada,” a character inspired by Wintour.
She even recreated a scene where she emerges from an elevator, talking on the phone to an assistant about what her boss requires. Pretty dramatic!
Sheinelle Jones
Sheinelle Jones made waves as she portrayed Beyoncé’s latest album cover, “Cowboy Carter.”
Riding in on a white horse with a giant Texas flag, she jumped up on stage to perform “Texas Hold’em.”
Laura Jarrett
Laura Jarrett brought back memories of the ’80s as she dressed as Lisa Turtle from the classic sitcom “Saved by the Bell.”
In a nostalgic touch, she answered a call on a giant cell phone from AC Slater, played by Mario Lopez, who showed up with a mullet and letterman jacket.
Al Roker and Carson Daly
These two had a playful showdown as Carson Daly portrayed Rocky Balboa, while Al Roker took on the role of his rival, Clubber Lang.
They reenacted a boxing scene from the film before sharing a hug, with Daly even throwing a punch at the camera, a nod to the iconic scenes featuring Sylvester Stallone.
Dylan Dreyer
Dylan Dreyer was quite the sight as she dressed up as Frankie Valli.
Along with backup singers in bright red jackets, they performed “Walk Like a Man,” celebrating the classic sound of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
Peter Alexander
Finally, Peter Alexander paid tribute to the late Jimmy Buffett, donning a signature T-shirt, khaki shoes, and a playful bald cap with gray hair. He danced and sang along to “Margaritaville,” strumming his guitar.
