Aaron Judge Celebrates Wife’s NYC Marathon Finish
Aaron Judge was in high spirits on Sunday as he cheered for his wife, Samantha, who finished the 2025 New York City Marathon.
The Yankees star, age 33, was seen embracing Samantha, a seasoned marathon runner who tackled the grueling 46.2-mile course through the five boroughs, finishing with an unofficial time of 3 hours, 32 minutes, and 34 seconds at 12:43 p.m.
This marks another year of support for Judge, who has been there for Samantha during her marathon runs in recent years.
He previously cheered her on in 2022 and 2023, and interestingly, Samantha played a supportive role for Emily Rizzo, the wife of Judge’s former teammate Anthony Rizzo, who was running the NYC marathon for the first time.
Emily mentioned, “I’ve been reaching out to her for advice—it’s been a million questions: How do I look? What should I wear? What about my headphones and my workouts?”
She added, “We’ve run together before; she’s really helped me with her insights.”
Last teaming up in 2024, Judge and Rizzo saw the Yankees advance to the World Series but ultimately fall to the Dodgers in five games.
At the marathon, Judge proudly hung a medal around Samantha’s neck, celebrating her achievement. The couple tied the knot in 2021 and will soon be marking their fourth wedding anniversary this December.
The Yankees’ season came to an end in October when they were swept by the Blue Jays in the ALDS. Toronto then moved on but fell to the Dodgers in a hard-fought Game 7 early Sunday.
This year has been particularly meaningful for the Judges as they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Nora Rose, in January. Before his first Father’s Day in June, Judge shared his thoughts on fatherhood, saying, “I want to teach my daughter the important lessons of life. Being her father is probably the biggest title I’ve ever had. It’s special.”
