Unexpected Moment During Chiefs-Bills Game
During the first quarter of the Chiefs-Bills match, viewers noticed something unusual about Tony Romo, CBS’ lead NFL analyst. As the broadcast continued, he audibly groaned while discussing a defensive holding penalty against Bills cornerback Cole Bishop. It was a bit awkward, to say the least.
The camera panned out, not showing Romo or play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz in the booth. Instead, the Bills were highlighted, leading 7-0 with less than two minutes left in the half, leaving viewers puzzled about the source of the groan.
“But I could see it from the other side, so I had to call,” Romo remarked, seemingly brushing off the awkwardness.
As social media exploded with theories, one user humorously suggested, “I think Romo had gas.” Others echoed that sentiment, finding the moment a bit strange.
The game itself ended with the Bills defeating the Chiefs 28-21 at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo. This marked the Bills’ fifth consecutive regular-season win against the Chiefs.
Josh Allen, the Bills’ quarterback and reigning NFL MVP, had a strong performance, completing 23 of 26 passes for 273 yards and throwing for one touchdown while also running in two more. He set a franchise record for completion percentage in the process.
Looking ahead, the Bills will take on the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday. The Chiefs, on the other hand, have an upcoming match against the Broncos in Denver on November 16.
