UPS Plane Crash at Louisville Airport

Shocking footage captured the moment a UPS cargo plane, heavily loaded with fuel, crashed at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport on Tuesday, leading to a massive, deadly fireball.

The video, recorded from a nearby vehicle, shows a towering column of black and gray smoke rising into the atmosphere, visible from quite a distance. The driver can be heard gasping in disbelief as flames erupt, engulfing the remnants of the aircraft on the runway, along with another plane positioned ahead.

The fire quickly expanded, creating ripples in the air as emergency sirens could be faintly heard in the background. Debris was scattered across the tarmac as emergency responders rushed to the site.

Before news of the incident spread, those filming reacted with horror as they witnessed the disaster unfold. The FAA later confirmed that the plane was attempting to take off for Honolulu when it crashed around 5:15 p.m. The tragic event resulted in at least three fatalities and left at least eleven others injured.

Governor Andy Beshear stated that “UPS Flight 2976,” occupied by three crew members, crashed onto the roof of a nearby oil recycling facility shortly after departure. He also mentioned that “at least two employees at a nearby auto parts store are missing,” calling the situation “devastating.”

Both the FAA and NTSB are currently investigating the incident. In response to the heavy smoke and debris, local authorities have issued a shelter-in-place order for nearby areas.
