Brianna Stewart and Natasha Cloud, stars of the Liberty, are set to make their return in the upcoming Unrivaled event in the new year. However, they won’t be joining forces this time around.
In a narrative reminiscent of a classic friends-turned-foes tale, both players will compete on separate teams. Unrivaled recently revealed its eight-player roster.
Stewart, a co-founder of Unrivaled, is back with Mist BC, while Cloud will represent Phantom BC once again.
Interestingly, Cloud won’t be sharing the court with Sabrina Ionescu this season, a change from last year, as Ionescu is not participating in Unrivaled, which kicks off on January 5th in Miami.
This season introduces several newcomers as well, such as Paige Bakkers and Dominic Malonga, who were the top two picks in the 2025 WNBA Draft. Additionally, Cameron Brink, who missed the previous year due to a knee injury, is anticipated to make his debut in Unrivaled.
