North West’s Reaction to Backlash on Social Media
It seems like social media trolls are having a field day, and Kim Kardashian decided to share how her 12-year-old daughter, North, reacted to the recent backlash over her fake tattoos and piercings. In a TikTok video, Kardashian explained how North was pretty unbothered by the whole situation.
During a chat with her “All’s Fair” co-star, Niecy Nash-Betts, Kardashian revealed that North had her cell phone taken away last month due to the uproar in the comments. But North didn’t seem to mind all that much.
Kardashian, 45, recalled a moment when North responded to a negative comment by saying, “This is no big deal,” which Kardashian called a “good clapback.” This instance came up in conversation during a recent interview.
She also pointed out that people online were quick to assume she would defend North to the end concerning her fashion choices. “On the internet, it was like, ‘Kim will defend North until the end in this outfit,'” Kardashian noted.
Nort’s own perspective was clear when she wrote, “That’s not the point.” Kardashian felt that people saw her as “advocating” for North’s expressive style, something she respects.
Even though Kardashian shared her opinions about North’s bold choices, she also provided some context. “She and her girlfriends just love to play dress-up and experiment with fashion,” she explained. With Halloween around the corner, they were having some fun with fake tattoos, accessories, and hair dye.
Kardashian humorously compared their look to “the Powerpuff Girls on Opium” and seemed to embrace the playful spirit behind it, even if it drew criticism.
In an earlier podcast interview, Kardashian had defended North’s controversial fashion statements, asserting that it was a “tough and really interesting” situation to navigate. She mentioned how when North wore something like a corset and miniskirt in August, it created quite a stir. “All the kids are wearing the same thing,” she said, adding, “but when my daughter tried to wear it, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m not going to wear it anymore.'”
Kardashian reflected on the challenges of parenting in the public eye, saying, “It’s like being a mom and learning at the same time. But I do know that my baby is a very good baby and a very sweet baby.”
In conclusion, Kardashian recently asked for “a little bit of reprieve” as she tries to raise her children—North, Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (6)—as best as she can. Notably, she mentioned that her ex-husband, Kanye West, hasn’t spoken to their kids in months, which adds another layer to their family dynamics.
