Hilary Duff Talks Family Dynamics Amid Feud Speculation
Hilary Duff recently addressed ongoing rumors about potential family tensions with her sister, Hailey, which fans have speculated over for quite some time.
In a discussion with Rolling Stone about her new music, Hilary shared that she feels “ready to fill a void and connect on the level that I’m on.”
She reflected on shared experiences with her sister, mentioning challenges like complicated relationships, anxiety, raising children, and family drama, among other things.
“Finally, I felt safe and comfortable enough within my family to go out and open up that part of myself again,” she explained.
This interview comes after years of whispers concerning a possible rift. Although they were once very close, Hilary, 38, and Hailey, 40, haven’t been photographed together in years and don’t seem to engage with each other’s social media.
So far, Hailey has remained silent about Hilary’s new music.
Interestingly, the sisters have not been seen together since March 2019, when they were spotted shopping in Los Angeles.
The reasons behind their rumored feud are unclear. Some sources have suggested that it stems from a disagreement involving Hilary’s husband, Matthew Koma, and Hailey’s fiancé, Matthew Rosenberg.
Fans have discussed various theories online, including claims that Hailey missed Hilary’s wedding to Koma in 2019, though reports indicate she did attend the ceremony.
As of now, representatives for both sisters have not commented on the matter.
Recently, Duff released her first single in ten years, “Mature,” and described it as a piece that speaks to her younger self about their shared journey.
Hilary emphasized the song as a way of reflecting on the past, noting the importance of accepting where you’ve landed and perhaps even finding humor in it.
In September, she announced her partnership with Atlantic Records and hinted at a documentary series in progress that will feature interviews, performances, and personal archive videos.
