Brett Favre Shares Super Bowl Halftime Show Suggestion

NFL icon Brett Favre has revealed the artist he believes should replace Bad Bunny at the halftime show for next year’s Super Bowl LV in Santa Clara, California.

The NFL faced criticism last month after announcing Bad Bunny’s participation, particularly following the Grammy-winning artist’s comments regarding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

In a recent episode of his podcast, “4th & Fabre,” Favre suggested that he would prefer Jason Aldean to take the stage. He stated, “I think Jason Aldean is a great patriot and has a wonderful voice. But I also like George Strait—classic country. There are a lot of possibilities out there.”

Recalling Whitney Houston’s impactful performance of the national anthem, Favre expressed how emotional it was. “If that performance didn’t move you, maybe something’s off. I see national anthems and halftime shows as different, but they both have a powerful impact,” he added.

Despite the discontent surrounding Bad Bunny, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell defended the choice, emphasizing that these decisions are never made lightly. “I’ve never chosen an artist without some degree of backlash. It’s just part of the territory when you’re in front of millions,” he remarked.

Goodell remained optimistic about the upcoming show, stating, “I believe it’s going to be an incredible experience. Bad Bunny knows the significance of this platform, making it a moment to remember.”
