Charlotte Jones Backs Bad Bunny for Super Bowl Halftime Show

Charlotte Jones, who is the daughter of Jerry Jones, the executive vice president and chief brand officer for the Dallas Cowboys, has expressed her support for Bad Bunny’s upcoming performance at the Super Bowl LX halftime show.

The NFL’s decision to choose the Grammy-winning artist faced criticism when it was announced, particularly as it came during a time when the Trump administration intensified its stance on illegal immigration, leading to remarks about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.

In an appearance on the “Katie Miller Podcast,” Jones mentioned that Bad Bunny expressed excitement about performing at this significant sporting event in Santa Clara, California. He seemed unconcerned about his political comments surrounding that time.

“Our Latino fan base is incredible,” Jones remarked. “When you think about the Super Bowl, it’s about showcasing the top performers in the world. We have a platform that reaches globally, so it’s important to recognize that. Our culture is very diverse, and our society is built on the contributions of immigrants. I think it’s essential to celebrate that. It’s going to be a fantastic show.”

“Politics shouldn’t be part of our game,” she continued. “People watch sports for entertainment, not to hear political debates. Come halftime, viewers will be focused on the performance, not on political commentary. This is really about bringing people together.”

Jones emphasized that the Cowboys organization believes politics shouldn’t intrude into their games and desires support from their entire fan base, regardless of political beliefs.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has also voiced support for Bad Bunny’s selection, while Jay-Z brushed off the criticisms surrounding the decision last month.

“He has a lot of fans. Don’t get misled,” Jay-Z stated regarding Bad Bunny during a discussion on TMZ Sports.
