Javani Cairo’s New Audio Devotional
Javani Cairo, who portrays Thaddeus in *The Chosen*, has shared how her role has enhanced her faith, leading her to create a 7-day audio devotional on Glorify.
This devotional is part of a three-part series called “Believe When All Seems Lost,” which features stars from the popular Christian series. Cairo expressed hopes that this project helps people forge a deeper connection with their faith, especially those who often feel invisible. “Everyone wants to be noticed and acknowledged,” she remarked. “Trust me, I’ve felt that way many times. The beautiful thing is that God sees us all. Quiet faith is powerful.”
Cairo feels a strong connection to her character, Thaddeus. “What drew me to him was the heart he wore on his sleeve. He leads with love, helping others find their place,” she noted. “I’ve always aimed to reflect this in my life, but working on this role has taught me to do it better.”
While there’s a sense of family among the cast and crew of *The Chosen*, Cairo found the recording of “Believe When All Seems Lost” to be uniquely different without them around. “It feels different not having our ‘chosen’ family physically together,” she said. Yet, she is thankful for the past seven-plus years spent with them, noting that it has contributed not just to her growth as an actor, but also as a person. “I love this family; they’ve really prepared me for moments like this.”
Having met his fiancé during the filming of *The Chosen*, Cairo believes that the partnership with Glorify can link enduring faith with the digital habits of today’s youth. She suggested that storytelling and technology go hand in hand in nurturing relationships with God. “Glorify offers a lot for young people, including guided meditations, Bible readings, and personalized playlists,” she said. “These options allow for deeper connections with faith, especially since media resonates with today’s generation.”
<p“I think this younger generation relates to their faith through storytelling. Stories resonate with us emotionally,” she continued. “When we see faith illustrated through on-screen characters and their emotions, it becomes relatable. This is why projects like The Chosen and Glorify are crucial; they inspire personal faith experiences.”
Cairo believes that the collaboration between *The Chosen* and Glorify will have a significant impact on listeners. “My hope is that this partnership encourages people to deepen their relationship with God in their daily lives,” she added. “This isn’t just an initiative; it’s a chance to turn inspiration into transformation.”
<p“God sees you,” Cairo concluded. “You are never alone. I’ve learned that when we follow Jesus with humility and love, God brings like-minded individuals into our lives.”
