Fundraiser for Patrick McClintock, linked to Dave Portnoy's antisemitic pizza review, raises over $36,000

A fundraiser for a former Mississippi State University student, who reportedly shouted anti-Semitic slurs at Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, has successfully gathered over $36,000.

Patrick McClintock, 20, faces charges of disturbing the peace after a video surfaced, showing him yelling “Jews” on November 7, outside a Starkville pizza restaurant that Portnoy was visiting.

The Starkville Police Department stated that they initiated an investigation after the video went viral, depicting several people making anti-Semitic remarks and tossing coins at Portnoy outside the establishment.

McClintock was charged with misdemeanor disturbing the peace on Monday and was processed and released the same day.

In their statement, Starkville police emphasized the importance of safety and respect within the community. They mentioned, “While everyone has the right to free speech, actions that threaten social order or risk violence will be addressed to ensure safety.”

The fundraiser on GiveSendGo, titled “DEFEND PATRICK MCCLINTOCK,” had raised $36,245 as of Thursday afternoon. The campaign described McClintock as a “20-year-old American patriot” who was detained in Mississippi on November 10, 2025, over the incident.

At the time of the confrontation, Portnoy was filming a pizza review. Allegedly, McClintock could be heard yelling, “Hey, you Jew, Dave!” to which Portnoy responded, “Would you like to be on camera, buddy?” McClintock then told him to leave Starkville before Portnoy’s security and others intervened.

On Monday afternoon, McClintock withdrew from Mississippi State University, as confirmed by a school spokesperson.
