In Difficult Times, Here Are Some Important Reminders

Hello, readers.

There’s a lot of negativity in the air. Honestly, my day yesterday wasn’t great, and today felt even longer. It seems like individuals, communities, and entire countries are grappling with numerous challenges.

But, there’s at least a glimmer of good news.

Good news!

There’s talk that MAGA is “dead.” President Trump appears poised to make a spectacle of himself regarding the H-1B visa, which allegedly targets genius-level talent. But, it looks like it often goes to ordinary tech workers—people we could train ourselves. Many companies, they say, post ads in tiny local papers, claiming they can’t find American talent. Well, I mean, of course they can’t if they’re looking in the wrong places. Conversely, outsourcing firms seem to be getting away with something akin to fraud. I can’t shake the feeling that Trump is headed for a fall.

So, what’s going on?

Right now, the political right is suffering from a major identity crisis. Some high-profile conservative thinkers are debating what “postliberal” actually means. There’s a search for leadership in some long-standing conservative organizations across the U.S.

But honestly, does any of this matter? The real questions should focus on which ideologies can tackle pressing issues like extreme content in public schools, soaring housing costs, the student debt crisis, and more—all while the economy and immigration debates rage on.

And let’s face it: the loudest voices aren’t the ones with true influence within these circles.

Instead of zeroing in on issues that matter, many in the movement seem preoccupied with internecine squabbles online. It’s just sad.

On the flip side, the left seems unbothered as they promote anti-Semitic narratives, almost as if it’s become routine.

Somehow, while the right focuses on its internal conflicts over figures like Tucker and Candace, the left operates without reservation, even with campus movements supporting groups like Hamas.

In Seattle, the new mayor apparently seems to have taken control as if a corporate HR team suddenly decided to intervene.

But hold on. There’s more unfolding. The New York Times reports something intriguing: I turned over and got caught. Jeffrey Epstein’s name has surfaced again, and it seems nobody cares. It’s almost like both sides agree on one thing—AI could eliminate 25 million jobs in just a few years. Meanwhile, China seems to be experimenting with AI in ways that could compromise U.S. infrastructure. And remember, it’s been nearly a decade since tragic events in Paris, but the left was finding ways to stir up sentiments back then.

If you think that was bad, let’s talk about a less horrifying yet ridiculous experience I had—this absurd Chick-fil-A sandwich I received last night.

Where, exactly, is the chicken in this supposed chicken sandwich?

You might be wondering: Jeff, is there anything good amidst all of this?

Well, dear reader, you’re still here.

What a relentless wave of disappointment. Is that all there is?

I mean it. The silver lining is simply that you’re alive. The clock hasn’t struck zero yet, and your heart is still beating. Each heartbeat carries a legacy.

Hardship can be a powerful motivator. Just look at President Trump; he managed to build an ice rink in mere months after a city spent years in chaos. George Foreman, after facing huge setbacks in his later years, trained hard and, at 45, knocked out a younger champion and became a household name selling grills.

I can attest—I own one, and it was a lifesaver in college.

Another George, centuries earlier, crossed the freezing Delaware, led a surprise attack, and changed history. The city named after him now struggles against crime and liberal policies—until Trump stepped in, it felt like it was all lost.

American culture embodies comeback stories.

The Romans thought they buried Christ, you know, and a few days later, well… let’s just say he wasn’t done yet.

(But, really, don’t quote me on that. My grasp of scripture isn’t perfect.)

Those figures are more than just ancestors; they stand as part of our heritage.

Our traditions are strong, embedded in each of you. You’re still here, and believe it or not, that’s good news.

Now, rise up and go after what you want.
