Ariana Grande brushes off fan incident at 'Wicked: For Good' premiere in Singapore

So, what’s the deal?

Ariana Grande didn’t really mention that wild moment with a fan at the premiere of *Wicked: For Good* on Thursday. She instead shared a lively photo from the event on Instagram, saying, “Thank you, Singapore ♡. We love you🫧.”

The slideshow kicked off with Grande, 32, gliding through her hotel hallway in a vibrant pink dress.

In her post, she also included adorable moments with Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, and the rest of the cast, showing off different angles in a chic off-shoulder Thom Browne dress. There were also fun shots of her just chilling around, even sporting an eyepatch while grinning at a theme park.

Interestingly, Ariana decided to turn off comments for this particular upload.

Meanwhile, Erivo, 38, also posted something similar, saying, “Singapore, you have our hearts. Thank you for the warm welcome to your garden city. 🧹✨.”

During the premiere, it was Erivo who sprang into action when a fan jumped a barricade and rushed toward Grande. The fan, identified as Johnson Wen, has a history of behaving similarly at events, including jumping on stage at shows for artists like Katy Perry and The Weeknd. He was eventually arrested but later claimed on Instagram that he had been “released.”

This incident seemed to have unsettled Grande, especially since it brought back memories of the 2017 Manchester concert attack, which triggered her PTSD. A source mentioned that Grande tends to react strongly, often jumping to the worst-case scenarios to calm herself. She previously spoke candidly about her battle with PTSD in a 2019 interview.

Following the chaotic event, she experienced a “severe bout of dizziness,” feeling as if she “couldn’t breathe.” In February, she talked on the podcast *Awards Chatter*, noting that music played a vital role in helping her through dark times, calling it “liberating and healing.” It’s clear that for her, creating music has been much more than just a career—it’s been a lifeline.
