Trump Targets Marjorie Taylor Greene with Nicknames Amid Growing Feud
As tensions rise, former President Donald Trump has taken to calling Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene a new nickname, accusing her of turning away from the Republican Party. In his latest posts on Truth Social, he referred to her as “Lightweight Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Brown,” emphasizing her alleged betrayal and poor performance.
Trump asserted that Greene has become “just a fake politician,” paralleling her with others he perceives as Republicans in name only. This marks the second nickname Trump has given Greene within a day, having earlier labeled her “Wacky Marjorie.”
Following his initial comments, he again used the nickname “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Greene,” expressing disappointment in her actions and stating, “This is a disgrace to our great Republican Party!”
In response, Greene took to X, expressing gratitude for the support she has received from those aware of her conflict with Trump. She noted that the fight to unveil the Epstein files has led to unexpected consequences. Greene emphasized that she believes in the American people more than in any leader or political party.
On Friday, Trump publicly withdrew his support from Greene, labeling her as “an abuse-filled lunatic” and accused her of focusing on grievances instead of celebrating achievements from his administration. In an extensive post, he suggested he would back a suitable opponent in the upcoming election to challenge her.
Trump voiced frustration that Greene had reportedly complained about his lack of communication, claiming, “I can’t afford to take calls from a madman who spews abuse every day.”
Amid the tension, Greene claimed that Trump attacked her based on falsehoods, stating she had not called him but had sent him messages instead. She highlighted the importance of releasing Epstein’s flight records, asserting that it was crucial information for the public.
Greene firmly rejected Trump’s authority over her, stating she does not “worship” him, but instead prioritizes her faith and her constituents. Over the years, she had been a steadfast Trump supporter, but her views seem to be shifting, particularly concerning U.S.-Israel relations and the Epstein controversy.
In interviews, Greene has noted that division exists within politics, stating, “there are lies on both sides,” indicating her criticism of both parties. The fallout from this conflict continues to develop, revealing deeper rifts within the Republican Party.
