Draymond Green Faces Off with Fan During Game

In a recent game, Golden State Warriors player Draymond Green engaged with a fan from the New Orleans Pelicans during his team’s victory, 124-106. This happened about two minutes into the game, just before halftime, when a fan, identified as Sam Green, celebrated after Green was called for a foul on Pelicans forward Herb Jones.

As players typically do, they weren’t waiting at the free-throw line but instead stood along the sideline in front of the fans. Sam Green told the press that he was teasing the Warriors with chants – something along the lines of “Angel Wreath” – as they struggled to make shots despite grabbing a few rebounds. Interestingly, he commented on how some players were targeting his remarks with their own language, even making threats if the chants didn’t stop.

“I didn’t use any profanity. It was just a little joke,” Sam remarked. He added that he found it unsettling when Green approached him so closely. Apparently, he had a few too many banters thrown his way regarding his comments, which made him a bit miffed.

As for repercussions, it’s uncertain if Green will face any fines for this verbal back-and-forth. Fans present were only issued a warning and allowed to stay in their seats, while a player from the Warriors had previously received a hefty fine for using inappropriate language toward a fan.
