Impressive fan recognized after gaining attention at Georgia-Texas game

A Georgia fan is making waves online after being spotted during ESPN’s coverage of Saturday’s game, where the Bulldogs beat Texas 35-10.

The enthusiastic brunette cheered in the stands with a red pom-pom, and she’s been identified as Harley. Her TikTok handle is @harlyisbae. It turns out she’s a freshman at the University of Georgia, and there’s a video of her wearing Bulldogs gear in her dorm.

Before the matchup, she shared a video rallying support for her team, saying, “GO DAWGS BEAT TEXAS.”

In response to her appearance on ESPN, someone tweeted, “I’m now a Georgia Bulldogs fan” along with a screenshot of Harley. This tweet had garnered nearly 4 million views as of Monday.

Harley has since attracted a lot of new followers on TikTok. One user commented, “You broke Twitter and I’m not complaining,” while another said, “You’re already famous.” Someone else added a simple “ESPN… thank you.”

ESPN has a history of capturing memorable fan moments. Some fans, like Harley, enjoy a brief moment of fame, while others, like model Katherine Webb, see their careers take off.

Webb became famous during the 2013 BCS Championship Game when cameras caught her cheering for her then-boyfriend, Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron. This moment led to a successful modeling career.

Reflecting on that time, Webb mentioned the significant impact of social media on her life. “I was one of the top five most Googled people that year,” she recalled.

Now 36, Webb stepped back from the spotlight to focus on her family, partly due to misunderstandings about her character. She expressed her frustration with how she was depicted in the media, saying, “I try to avoid negativity,” and noted how much it affected her public image.
