Kelly Dodd Speaks Out on Meghan King’s Custody Situation
Kelly Dodd, a former star from “Real Housewives of Orange County,” has shared her thoughts on the recent custody issues facing her co-star Meghan King.
In a TikTok video, the 50-year-old Dodd revealed a conversation she had with King, who recently lost custody of her children to ex-husband Jim Edmonds. Dodd alleged that King had placed one of the twins, Hayes, on Ritalin, which led some to label her a “dangerous mother.”
King has an 8-year-old daughter named Aspen and 7-year-old twins Hart and Hayes with Edmonds.
Dodd emphasized that despite their past conflicts, she has cared for King during difficult times, like when she underwent cosmetic surgeries. In her video, she expressed confidence in King’s love for her children, stating, “She loves those kids, and I know for a fact that she’s a good mother.” Dodd went further to call King an “amazing mother” and expressed her hopes that King would regain custody.
Additionally, Dodd urged her followers to pray for King and her family, noting, “Those kids need their moms. What’s happening is horrible. All we can do is pray for Meghan.”
Reports indicate that King has been granted only supervised visitation with her children following concerns raised by Child Protective Services. This arrangement is temporary, with a public hearing scheduled in December to assess its future.
Earlier this week, a source informed Us Weekly that the investigation was triggered by a report filed by school staff regarding King.
King and Edmonds welcomed three children during their five-year marriage, which ended in 2019 amid revelations of Edmonds’ infidelity. Following their divorce, they initially shared custody, but tensions escalated in May when Edmonds’ current wife accused King of trespassing.
According to police reports, King allegedly yelled for her daughter from inside the home during a confrontation regarding a dress. Even though she left the premises, the situation warranted police involvement.
Interestingly, no charges were filed against King. Her attorney asserted that the events were exaggerated, mentioning that King merely made a phone call to her daughter without crossing the threshold of the home.
The complexities of this custody situation are still unfolding, and it’s clear that emotions are running high for everyone involved.
