Ciara shared that her husband, Russell Wilson, who is the backup quarterback for the Giants, is “always involved” when she hangs out with her celebrity friends.
During a recent episode of Apple Music’s “Level Up Radio,” Ciara, along with her close friends Kelly Rowland and La La Anthony, mentioned how a Super Bowl champion like Wilson loves to be in the loop about their conversations.
“Russ is nosy,” Rowland joked.
Anthony added, “He means everything to me.”
Rowland recounted a time when Wilson joined in mid-conversation, saying, “It’s like, ‘Las las las,’ and he just asks straight up.”
They all laughed at the fun dynamics of their friendship.
Ciara, Rowland, and Anthony have spoken openly about their bond, emphasizing how Wilson often offers a valuable male perspective. Anthony noted how he sometimes gives constructive feedback, saying, “Sister, this is what you’re doing wrong.”
Since tying the knot in 2016, Ciara has appreciated Wilson’s efforts to support their group.
“We’re always holding the girls down. Everyone has their own feelings about Russ, so if something’s not too serious but love-related, I’ll say, ‘Baby, you have to check.’” she shared.
Anthony mentioned how she felt comfortable sharing details with Wilson, saying, “You gave me the space to share everything I chose to share.”
Rowland thought it was “really funny” how Wilson interjects during discussions. “Oh yeah, he’ll be all in it too… we love you, baby!” Ciara chimed in.
Ciara and Wilson got married two years after he secured a Super Bowl title with the Seahawks in 2014.
The couple has three children: daughters Sienna Princess, 8, and Amora Princess, 1, and son Win, 5. Additionally, Ciara has an 11-year-old son, Future Zahir, from a previous relationship.
It’s been a while since Ciara and the kids attended a Giants game, as they last went in September.
Following the Giants’ initial three-game losing streak, Wilson was benched for rookie Jackson Dart.
Dart, who was the 25th overall draft pick in 2025, was named the starter for Week 11, taking over from veteran Jameis Winston due to concussion protocols.
Winston had a tough game, completing 19 of 29 passes for 201 yards and one interception in a 27-20 defeat against the Packers.
The Giants, sitting at 2-9, are set to face the Lions, currently 6-4, in Detroit. If Dart performs well, Wilson may be relegated to the No. 3 emergency QB spot.
Wilson signed a one-year deal with the Giants in March, after playing a season with the Steelers, where he started 11 games, threw for 2,482 yards, recorded 16 touchdowns, had five interceptions, and achieved a completion rate of 63.7 percent, leading the Steelers to the playoffs.
