Nick Hogan Considers Wrestling Career After Father’s Passing

Nick Hogan hasn’t dismissed the idea of stepping into the wrestling ring after the loss of his father, WWE legend Hulk Hogan, who passed away in July.

In a recent interview, Nick expressed his long-standing love for the wrestling industry, sharing that it brought him closer to his father, who died at 71 from a heart attack. “It’s in your blood, so you never know,” Nick mused while at LAX Airport. His affection for the business is evident.

He noted that being involved in wrestling makes him feel a connection to his dad, remarking, “Obviously it makes me feel so close to my Dad, being around the business and being in that environment.” He described the wrestling community as his “family” and mentioned that he maintains strong ties to it.

Feeling “pretty good,” Nick also caught the attention of wrestling fans with a photo he posted this week of himself training alongside NWA star Brian Idle. “I’m not saying too much, but I’m trying to stay in good shape,” he commented when questioned about the image’s significance to his wrestling aspirations.

When asked if the photo marked a tough beginning to a wrestling career, Nick replied, “You’ll never know.” It’s clear there’s a mix of excitement and uncertainty about what lies ahead.

Hulk Hogan, who experienced health complications, including leukemia and heart issues, died on July 24. While the cause of his death was ruled natural, there remains ongoing discussion about the circumstances surrounding it.

In August, Nick and his mother Skye Dailey sought to extend the timeline for potential medical malpractice investigations related to Hulk’s passing. They filed for an additional 90 days to gather more information.

The family’s inquiry involves healthcare professionals from Morton Plant Hospital, where Hulk was pronounced dead, and Tampa General Hospital.

Reflecting on the challenges leading up to his father’s death, Nick explained that they did everything possible after Hulk’s neck surgery in May and the complications that arose. “There were complications and we tried to deal with it towards the end. He was really fighting,” Nick said, emphasizing the family’s efforts to support him through a difficult recovery process.

In addition to wrestling dreams, the Hogan family operates various businesses, including a bar in Clearwater, Florida, and the Real American Beer brand, which launched in mid-2024. Nick is also focused on the upcoming opening of a 9,000-square-foot Hulk’s Slam Sports Bar in New York, a place steeped in his father’s wrestling history and legacy.
